Larry D. Wyatt

Larry D. Wyatt, 77, of Utica, died peacefully at Manor Court of Peru on October 25, 2017.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in Faith Assembly of God in Peru with Rev. Steve Adamson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5:00 PM in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Additional visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Larry was born in Spearville, KS on March 22, 1940 to George W. and Jennie (Robbins) Wyatt.  He married Sue Wyatt in Las Vegas on October 10, 1977.  Larry worked for 20 years for the Post Office in Colorado Springs, CO and 10 years as Postmaster in Jefferson City, MO.  He was selected to teach 2 years at the Postal Academy in Oakbrook, IL.  After retirement, he worked for 11 years delivering for Hy Vee in Peru.

Larry enjoyed golf and gardening.  He had a strong work ethic and was very leadership oriented.  He enjoyed football and Green Bay was his team.

Larry is survived by his wife Sue of Utica; son Todd (Renee) Wyatt of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Stacie Wyatt of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren Tyler, Evan and Lindsey Hallock; sister Melva Schmitt of Kansas City, MO; four nieces; and his dog Scruffy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
