Joanne M. (Lakin) Pluckebaum, 79, of Chicago, formerly of La Salle, died November 2, 2017 in Northwestern Hospital in China cago.
Graveside services were 11:00 AM Wednesday November 8, 2017 in Peru City Cemetery with Rev. Betty Delgado officiating. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle assisted the family with arrangements.
Joanne was born in La Salle on May 7, 1938 to Fred B. and Lucy (Schuessler) Lakin. Joanne married John F. Pluckebaum in Indianapolis, IN on April 19, 1963. Joanne received her Bachelor’s Degree at Purdue University and her Master’s Degree from Wisconsin. She became a professor at Purdue University. She was a member of P.E.O.
Joanne is survived by her husband John of Chicago; her son Bryce Pluckebaum of Chicago; a sister Sally (Will) Lakin Towne of Sacramento, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
