Joanne Lanham (Galloway), 54, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 8, 2018, in Spring Valley.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Hyacinth’s Church in La Salle with the Very Rev. Paul Carlson and Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Mendota. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM on Friday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with a wake service at 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will be 9:00 AM until time of services Saturday in the church.
Joanne was born on September 13, 1963, in Mendota, the sixth child to Jack and Marge Galloway. She married her husband, Keith, in 1985. She was a devoted wife to Keith, proud mother of Jason and Jamie, and loving grandmother to her grandson, Ronald. She worked at Volk’s Tap in LaSalle for 12 years. She was generous, caring and gifted at creating space for people to connect. She went on to own and operator her own restaurant, Lunchbox Cafe, for the next 18 years. Joanne loved spending time with her family, especially boating and camping. She had a green thumb and grew many beautiful plants and flowers in her home.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Keith, of Spring Valley, her son, Jason Lanham, her daughter, Jamie Lanham, her grandson, Ronald Sartin, her mother, Marge Galloway, her brothers, Steve (Rose) Galloway, Bruce (Wanda) Galloway, David (Patricia) Galloway, Brian (Robin) Galloway, and her sisters, Julie Henkel, Jayne (Mory) Jaime, Carol (Ron) Karns, Susan (Mario) Data, and Rachel (Kris) Sivak.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Galloway.
