Jacqueline “Jackie” (Humphrey) Mahoney, 88, of Cedar Point and formerly of Peru, died June 6, 2019 in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Sunday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Carl Hammer, pastor of First Congregational Church of Peru officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until time of services. Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday in Peru City Cemetery.
Jackie was born in Peru on June 26, 1930 to Jesse “Jack” and Amanda (Boehm) Humphrey. She married Dennis Mahoney on May 27, 1951. She worked at Westclox and owned and operated Mid-Way Café with Dennis. Jackie was a beautician for many years and owned and operated along with Dennis Mahoney, AMC Jeep and Dennis Mahoney Ford.
Jackie enjoyed shopping and long car rides. Her favorite thing in life was her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia George of Tennessee, Susan (John) Nelson of Bettendorf and Michelle “Mimi” (Duane) Dzierzynski of Cedar Point; two sons, Michael (Tina) Mahoney of California and Jack (Lana) Mahoney of Naperville; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and one sister Mildred Hahn of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 29, 2002, one grandson and one sister Lois Klimek.

Amanda Dzierzynski, Carly Dzierzynski, Jordan Dzierzynski, Joshua Nelson, Jeremiah “Max” Nelson, Melissa Mahoney, Kelly Mahoney, Rachel Ristau, and Jessica Fields.
