Harry P. Lehning

Harry P. Lehning, 85, of Ladd, died April 12, 2018 in Mendota Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd with Rev Mike Slutz, pastor of Hollowayville Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 until time of services. Burial will be at a later date in Biggsville Cemetery in Biggsville, IL.

Harry was born in Chicago on March 14, 1933 to Philip and Esther (Lemke) Lehning. He married Ellen “Jane” Price on June 20, 1955. He served with the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a retired teacher and coach at Buda-Western, Hall, and Mendota High Schools. Harry was a member of the Mendota Elks and a long-time member of Mendota Country Club and Indian Hills Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling.

Harry is survived by his wife Jane; two daughters, Kathy Lorenzi of Ladd and Ellen Lehning of Jamestown, NY; One son Mike (Traci) Lehning of Bourbonnais; Two grandchildren, Nicole and Marcus Lehning; and one sister Phyllis Jelenick of Lowell, IN.

He is preceded in death by one brother Bill Lehning.

Lymphoma Society.
