Georgia M. Hamrick

Georgia M. Hamrick, 60, of Rock Falls and Dixon died October 6, 2018 in CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Steve Adamson, Pastor of Faith Church in Peru, officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, La Salle. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.

Georgia was born in Gary, IN on December 17, 1957 to George and Dorothy (Griffin) Ferrell. She was a homemaker. Georgia loved spending time with her family and her animals. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking.

Georgia is survived by six children Beatrice Rodriguez of La Salle, Monisha (Bill) Neff of Princeton, Ben Rodriguez of Rock Falls, Scott Hamrick of Dixon, Destinee Hamrick of Rock Falls, and Nathan Hamrick of Dixon; four grandchildren Courtnie Rodriguez, Sebastian Parks, Jacob Wheelhouse, and Alyssa Wheelhouse; two sisters Betty (Byron) Pappas of La Salle and Dorothy (Mario) Montanez of Rock Falls; and one brother Eddie (Marilyn) Ferrell of Petersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Calvin and John McDaniel.
