Gary ”Cooper” Sunken

Gary “Cooper” Sunken, 62 of Wenona, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on January 21, 2018.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The Hurst Funeral in Wenona is assisting his family, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mayo Clinic of MN or OSF Hospice. 
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life anytime between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the American Legion in Wenona on Saturday, January 27th.

Gary was born in Streator, IL on January 10, 1956, to James and Betty (Kline) Sunken.  

Gary retired from Vactor Manufacturing in Streator. He enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.  You were sure to find him cooking, playing poker or fishing.  

Gary is survived by his wife Laura (Hook), his mother Betty, four children, Brandi (Rodger) Burns, Kati Sunken, Tyler (Darcey) Sunken and Ciji Sunken; four grandchildren,  and three siblings,  Barbara (John) Simmons, Jeffrey (Janet) Sunken, and Jimbo (Nancy) Sunken.

He was preceded in death by his father James.
