Franz C. Devantier Jr., 86, of La Salle, died November 15, 2017 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will not be any services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling arrangements for his family.
Franz was born in Mount Clemens, MI on February 8, 1931 to Franz C. and Susan Devantier Sr. He married Janis Carter on January 24, 1987. He was Administrator at various Nursing Homes, including, Michigan, Princeton, Galesburg, Wilmington, Sterling and La Salle County Nursing Home. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife Janis.
Franz is survived by his wife Janis of La Salle; two daughters, Vicki (Brian) Howard of Ypsilanti, MI and Sue (Craig) Antonine of Petoskey, MI; one son Andrew Devantier of Traverse City, MI; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother Lewis.
