Ellen Jane Lehning

Ellen “Jane” Lehning, 85, of Ladd, died June 9, 2018 in Mendota Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Monday June 18, 2018 in the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd with Rev. Mike Slutz officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10:30 AM until time of services.

Jane was born in Fort Madison, IA on March 11, 1933 to Leon and Eva (Gibb) Price.  She married Harry P. Lehning in Burlington, IA on June 26, 1954.  She retired as a grade school classroom learning and disabilities teacher. Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cross country skiing and canoeing.  

Mrs. Lehning is survived by two daughters, Kathy Lorenzi of Ladd and Ellen Lehning of Jamestown, NY; one son, Mike (Traci) Lehning of Bourbonnais; two grandchildren, Nicole and Marcus Lehning.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 12, 2018 and two brothers, Donn and Robert Price.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinson Foundation.
