Elizabeth "Betty" Repsel

Elizabeth “Betty” Repsel, 76, of La Salle passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home in November 3, 2017.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with Rev. Jacob Valle officiating. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM Monday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be Tuesday in the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mrs. Repsel was born October 9, 1941 in La Salle to Anthony and Anne (Skowera) Pezanoski. She married Richard “Dick” Repsel in St. Patrick’s Church on December 2, 1967. Next month, they would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Betty worked with the public for many years, and she had a large group of friends with whom she loved to play cards or go out to dinner. Betty loved sewing and enjoyed making Christmas stockings for soldiers for Project Santa. Betty enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and camping. Her greatest joy was her two grandsons.

Mrs. Repsel is survived by her husband Dick of La Salle, one son Mike (Crystal) Repsel of La Salle, two grandsons Aiden and Gavin Repsel, sister Carole (Brad) James of Hinckley, brother Eugene Pezanoski of Tempe, AZ, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son David Repsel in 1999, and one brother Robert Pezanoski in 2014.

Pallbearers will be Aiden and Gavin Repsel, Bill Repsel, Brad James, and Richard Strait.

Memorials may be directed to Cops 4 Cancer.
