Edward "Edy" J. Lutz

Edward “Edy” J. Lutz, 59, of Wenona, died unexpectedly on December 15, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in St. Mary’s Church in Wenona with the Franciscian Friars officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wenona.  Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.  The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is assisting his family.

Edy was born in Streator on February 9, 1959 to Edward D. and Rose Mary (DePaul) Lutz.  He married Laura Barhum on March 15, 2015.  He was a farmer and Security Guard at La Salle Nuclear Power Plant.   

Edy enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and playing cards. He loved his music.  He was a friend to many.

Edy is survived by his wife Laura of Wenona; his father Edward D. Lutz of Wenona; four children, Brandon (Kandi) Lutz of Minonk, Deidra (Phil) Lutz of Chatsworth, Austin (Briana) Lutz of Wenona and Cole (Jessica) Porzelius of Wenona; four grandchildren; one brother Tom (Rose) Lutz of Wenona; one sister Nancy (Terry) Keith of Tennessee; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rose Mary Lutz, and a sister Lucy Lutz Strode.

Pallbearers will be Eric Lynn, Brian Arndt, Tate Allen, Joe and Kyle Lutz, Cole Porzelius, Braiden and Justine Skinner.
