Dorothy A. Brown, 76, of La Salle, died peacefully in her home on October 28, 2017.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Very Rev. Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
Mrs. Brown was born in La Salle on January 1, 1941 to Louis and Eva (Bernard) Sekula. She retired as a LPN in Hines VA Hospital. She enjoyed baking cookies, quilting and sewing.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Christine (Lloyd) Kuykendall of Seneca and Tina (John) Allen of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley and Taylor Kuykendall and Brock Lawson; one great-grandson Charles Woods Jr; two brothers, John (Sheila) Sekula and Louis (Carole) Sekula Jr, both of La Salle; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
