Dennis R. Foley

Dennis R. Foley, 79, of Peru, died January 4, 2019 surrounded by his family in Heritage Health Care in Peru.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. A rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus Council #792.  Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services.  Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.

Dennis was born in La Salle on May 29, 1939 to Robert and Ann (Jesilowski) Foley.  He married Judith L. Maggio in Holy Rosary Church in La Salle on October 15, 1960.  He retired in December of 2004 from American Nickeloid in Peru.

Dennis was a past Grand Knight and current member of Knights of Columbus #792 and was a past La Salle alderman in the 2nd ward.

He is survived by two daughters, Becky (Kevin) Kunkel of Granville and Karen (Peter) Pesetski of West Chicago; two sons, Larry (Jeanine) Foley of Peru and Robert (Lisa) Foley of McNabb; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jenna, Matthew, Brittany, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Anna; five great-grandchildren, Trent, Thomas, Jude, Peyton and Jack and one brother Mickey (Karen) Foley of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy on Janaury 8, 2007 and two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Liam.
