Dennis P. Donarski

Dennis “Denny” P. Donarski, 74, of Lostant, passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 28, 2019.

Funeral services and burial will be private with Rev. Susan Barr officiating.  The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is assisting his family.

Denny was born in La Salle on September 16, 1944 to Stanley and Marjorie (Dimmick) Donarski.  He married Cheryl L. Decker on July 3, 1965.  He then married Cheryl A. Henson on September 20, 2014.  Denny worked as a grain elevator supervisor.

He enjoyed fishing, bike riding and taking his dogs Smokey and Tinker on walks on the Towpath in La Salle.

Denny is survived by his wife Cheryl A. Donarski of Lostant; two daughters, Michele (Dan) Durdan of Janesville, WI and Christy (Todd) Anderson of Tonica; six grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Durdan of Normal, Cole Durdan of Avon, CO and Lauren Durdan of Castro, Spain, Emily, Cassidy and Avery Anderson, all of Tonica; two sisters, Julie (Mike) Eckburg of Aurora and Bette (Joe) Carron of Muskegon, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Peter Christiansen.

Memorials may be directed to Lostant Fire Department or St. Margaret’s Hospice.
