Damion Allen

Damion “Damers” Allen, 22, of Peru died in his home on December 5, 2017.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services on Saturday. Burial will be private.

Damion was born in La Mesa, CA on October 31, 1995 to Harry Eugene and Judith (Frecchio) Allen. He enjoyed reading, riding his motorcycle, canoeing, and fishing. He was a track and football standout at La Salle-Peru Township High School, graduating in 2014. Damion received MVP honors in both sports.

He is survived by his parents Gene and Judy of Peru; three sisters Tammy (Paul) Shepard of St. Ignace, MI, Mindy (Shaun) Harnum of Las Vegas, NV, and Molly Allen of Peru; two brothers Jimmy Allen of Elko, NV and Grant (Miranda) Elliget of San Diego, CA; maternal grandmother JoAnn Frecchio of Dubuque, IA; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; his best friend Manny Pagan; and many more friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Viola Mae Allen and paternal grandfather Peter Frecchio.
