Ann M. Hattan

Ann M. Hattan, 62, of Wenona, passed away January 4, 2020 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wenona with the Francian Friars officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ann was born in Streator on August 8, 1957 to Frank and Helen (Lenac) Goropesek II. She married John Hattan in 1977 and later divorced. She was currently working as a manager of Big R and previously worked for Spring Green Lawn Care for many years.

Ann enjoyed cross stitching, making jewelry, and other crafts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Also, Ann loved all things Mickey Mouse. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Wenona.

Ann is survived by her mother Helen of Wenona; son Chris (Sara) Hattan of Van Wert, OH; daughter Catie (Diaa) Al-Mseidin of Bourbonnais; sister Patty Stehl of Normal; brother Frank (Lisa) Goropesek III of Bloomington; grandchildren Isaias & Malachi Hattan and Dianna Al-Mseidin; nieces and nephews Matt & Mitchell Stehl and Joey & Jesse Goropesek.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister Mary Goropesek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wenona Food Pantry.
