Warren T. Kalisiak

Warren T. Kalisiak, 80, of 1134 E US Rt 6, Ottawa died at 9:30 AM on November 19, 2015 in UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in Peoria after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with the Rev Lloyd Johnson, Pastor of Utica Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Deer Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday and 10-10:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home.

Warren was born in Chicago on April 3, 1935 to Thomas and Vera (Mason) Kalisiak. He was a 1953 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School and attended Illinois State University in Normal. Warren served in the Us Army stationed in Germany in 1959 and 1960. He along with his sister Verna owned and operated the Flower Mart in La Salle for over 40 years. He was a member and organist at the Christian Science Church in Peru for many years. He enjoyed music; his pastime was playing the organ. He also had a love for animals.

He is survived by one sister Verna Irwin of Ottawa; two brothers Lloyd (Melanie) Kalisiak of Sarasota, FL and Dale Kalisiak of Oglesby; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Donald Irwin.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Weiss; Matt Znaniecki; Shane Link; and Darin, Chad, and Jay Kalisiak.
