Sharon D. Ciesielski

Sharon D. Ciesielski, 65, of La Salle passed away on July 16, 2016 at 7:59 PM in OSF Richard L. Owen Hospice Home in Peoria.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with the Very Rev. Antonio Dittmer officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Burial will be in St. Valentine’s Cemetery. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Ciesielski was born in La Salle on October 5, 1950 to John and Mary (Crews) Frackowiak. She married Robert J. Ciesielski on April 17, 1971. She was the Trust Officer at La Salle State Bank for 30 years. Sharon was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was formerly on the Board of Director’s with Horizon House. She also served on several committees and was a Board Chairman for the March of Dimes; she also received state, regional, and national recognition for her work. Sharon loved her family. She was especially passionate about her granddaughters.

Mrs. Ciesielski is survived by one son Bryan (Gina) Ciesielski of Germantown Hills; two granddaughters Jordyn and Kailey; one sister Jean (Don) Gallup of Oglesby; three brothers Allen Frackowiak of Standard, John Frackowiak of Granville, and Gerald Frackowiak of WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob on February 12, 2016, her father John Frackowiak, and her mother Mary (William) Kormelink.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
