Ronald L. Lijewski, 80, of Peru, died surrounded by his family on November 18, 2017 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will not be any services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling his arrangements.
Ron was born in La Salle on April 17, 1937 to Joseph and Hattie (Mankowski) Lijewski. He married Janet Ellerbrock on May 24, 1958. Ron served with the US Marine Corps and retired from Sunstrand. He enjoyed dinner and a movie with his family.
He is survived by one daughter Samantha (Kevin) Pumo of Peru and one son Mark (Carrie) Lijewski of Oglesby; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a special friend Madeline Teauseau of Spring Valley.
He was preceded in death by a son David Lijewski on April 13, 2003, and two brothers, Joseph and William Lijewski.
