Michael J. Coulter, 72, of Peru, died suddenly on November 14, 2016 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Memorial services will be 7:30 PM Friday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Peru Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until time of services.
Mike was born in Peru on July 29, 1944 to Robert and Betty (Williams) Coulter. He worked at Lou’s Supermarket in Peru and La Salle Ambulance Service.
Mike loved to read. He was just short of his goal to read 10,000 books.
He is survived by one daughter, Erinn (Robert) Johns of La Salle; two granddaughters, Ella and Lainey Johns of La Salle; one niece, one nephew and his best friend Mike Waclaw of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Susie Haye.
