Mark R. Donnelly, 59, of La Salle died peacefully April 30, 2017 in St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be 7:30 PM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM Thursday until time of services. Cremation will follow services and burial of his ashes will be at a later date in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.
Mark was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 3, 1958 to William and Diane (Windels) Donnelly. Mark graduated from Sangamon State University on July 27, 1985. He owned and operated Donnelly Accounting in La Salle for over 30 years. Mark enjoyed deep sea fishing, golfing, and traveling.
Mark is survived by two sons Jose Janica and Mark Donnelly both of Cherry, his father William (Norma) Donnelly of New Berlin, WI, one sister Leslie (John) Schaper of Peru, one brother James Pittman of New Lenox, his ex-wife Alba Donnelly of Cherry, two nephews Ryan and James Schaper, two nieces whom he helped raise Mirianys and Laura De Las Salas, and one great nieces Annamarie Schaper.
He was preceded in death by his mother Diane “Pat” Pittman, his stepfather Donald Pittman, and a nephew Joseph Krebsbach.
