Marilyn C. (Russell) McKee

Marilyn C. McKee, 75, of rural Princeton died at 4:25 PM April 11, 2016 with her daughter-in-law and friends by her side in Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd with Rev. Harold Datzman OSB officiating. Burial will be in Berean Cemetery in rural Cherry. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 on Monday in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 9:00 AM until time of services on Tuesday.

Marilyn was born in Spring Valley on February 28, 1941 to John and Catherine (Paglia) Russell. She married Dale McKee on January 20, 1962. She and Dale lived in Mesa, AZ during the winter months. She worked at Westclox, then Harper-Wyman before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Church, past president of the Ladd Grade School Mother’s Club, Peru Eagle’s Auxiliary, and Tri-City Saddle Club. She enjoyed sewing, Swedish weaving, and needlepointing.

Marilyn is survived by two sons Todd (Linda) McKee of Malden and Russell (Kim) McKee of Peru; two grandchildren Blake and Madelyne McKee; two step grandchildren Kelly and Whitney Grabill; four step great grandchildren Alec, Evan, Tessa, and Nora; two sisters Nancy Merkel of Princeton and Peggy (Dan) Fusinato of Spring Valley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale on March 21, 2015, one son Bret Dale McKee in 2012, and two brothers Jack and Jim Russell.

Pall bearers will be Alan Merkel, Mike and Daniel Fusinato, Gary and Blake McKee, and Alec Vecchia.
