Kimberley Paul, 46, of Peru, died suddenly on January 10, 2018 in Rush University Hospital in Chicago after a battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Monday in St. Valentine’s Church in Peru. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7:00 PM Sunday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Kim was born in La Salle on January 4, 1972 to Jerome “Tabby” and Nancy (Campbell) Pawlak. She married Jeffrey Paul on July 23, 2005. She worked as an Implementation Consultant for MetLife. Kim was a 1990 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University. Kim was also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kim enjoyed entertaining and cooking up delicious meals for family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre with her card club. Kim was a strong woman with fearless compassion. She was amazingly positive with an infectious laugh. She loved her children with endless depth, ever patient. Kim was outgoing and adventurous, vacationing with her husband, Jeff. She truly altered the lives of all she touched. She will be greatly missed forever and always!
Kim is survived by her husband Jeffrey of Peru; son Finneas J. Paul and daughter Fiona J. Paul both at home; her mother Nancy Pawlak of La Salle; four sisters Debbie (Kevin) Kraabel of North Aurora, Shelley Kleczewski of North Aurora, Penny (Steve) Reynolds of La Salle, and Peggy Kleczewski of La Salle; father-in-law and mother-in-law Mike and Kris Paul of Oglesby; sister-in-law Vicki Schmidt of Gurnee; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Jerome in 2006 and her grandparents.
