Keith F. Cherny

Keith F. Cherny, 62, of Peru died peacefully in his home on November 29, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Pastor Isaac Escobar of Crossbridge Community Church in Peru.

Keith was born in La Salle on February 13, 1955 to Frank and Joanne (Leshewski) Cherny. He married Susan Goodwin on March 7, 1981. After marriage, they moved to San Jose, CA for 22 years before moving back to Peru in 2004. Keith worked as a machinist. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Crossbridge Community Church. Keith loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and cooking. Keith’s passion, for the past several years, was spent devoting himself to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry program, helping others to improve their life with God’s help.

Keith is survived by his wife Susan of Peru, two sons Nick and Jake Cherny both of Everett, WA, two sisters Linda (Richard Selquist) Cherny of Putnam and Roxanne (Alan) Cherpeske of Oglesby, aunts, uncles, one nephew Daniel Curtin of La Salle, and one niece McKenzie Goodwin of Normal. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cop 4 Cancer.
