Judith Rogers

Judith Rogers, 76, of Oglesby died August 19, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
 

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private Celebration of Life will be at later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.
 

Mrs. Rogers was born in Austin, Texas on September 26, 1940 to Dale and Gladys (Jones) Gilmore. She married Gordon P. Rogers on October 17, 1959. She was a college English teacher in Texas and then at Illinois Valley Community College. She was also a homemaker. Her most influential and enjoyable times were those spent raising, loving and adoring her family.
 

Mrs. Rogers hobbies included painting, gardening, knitting, and music. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a special friend to many.
 

Mrs. Rogers is survived by one son Paul Devon (Joan) Rogers of Florida; four daughters Holly (Scott) Elter of Oglesby, Jodie (Jonathan) Ridley of Missouri, Diane Thomson of Arizona, and Angelique Rogers of Missouri;  grandchildren Joshua (Kirstin) Rogers, Ashley Angelo, Caitlin (Anthony) Finnell, Jonathan Ridley, Jocelyn Ridley, Johanna Ridley, Chloe Rogers, and Olivia Sims; great grandchildren Riley, Michael, and Liam.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gordon on July 30, 1992.
