Frederick “Fred” Cass, 71 of La Salle, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on May 23, 2017.
Private services were Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester officiating. Burial was in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.
Fred was born in La Salle on July 7, 1945 to Ferdinand and Barbara (Repsel) Cass. He retired from LTV Steel in Hennepin and continued working with his daughter at Cass Productions and Cass Films. Fred loved his cat, and his fancy cars and he truly lived for his children and grandchildren. We love you dad (grandpa). We will miss you.
He is survived by three children, Lynda (Michael Garski) Cass of West Hollywood, CA, Marcia (Phillip) Wood of Maryville and Chris (Angela) Cass of Carrollton, TX; two grandchildren and one on the way; one sister Mary Barb (Kenneth) Bishop of Granville and one brother Frank Cass of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
