Florence H. (Krasinski) Smelz, 93, of Peru, passed away April 28, 2017 at Heritage Health in Peru, with loved ones by her side.
Florence was born August 21, 1923 in La Salle to Joseph and Rose (Gunia) Krasinski. She was employed at Heritage Manor for 26 years.
Mom loved life, baking and playing bingo. Most of all she loved spending time with her 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was survived by her husband Richard; her children, Catherine (Gary) Ghighi, Linda (Robert) Glover, Richard “Rick” Smelz Jr. and Laura “Laurie” Hooper.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Cremation rights have been accorded by the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.
Her life will be celebrated with each new day.
