Emmanuel "Manny" Limberg

Emmanuel “Manny” Limberg Sr., 49, of Tonica died at 9:52 PM May 30, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7:00 PM and Wednesday from 10-10:45 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  A funeral procession will leave from the funeral home for an 11:00 AM service on Wednesday at Mighty Word Church in North La Salle (across from the Flying J) located at 599 Canaan Dr., La Salle Pastors Neil King, Cres Rios, and Rev. Chico Perez will officiate. 

Manny was born in the Philippines on November 25, 1967 to Rueben and Ellie (Ruiz) Espina. He married Marife Santaana at Amazing Grace Church in La Salle on October 12, 1991. He owned and operated Limberg Builders for the past 25 years. Manny enjoyed camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and boating. He also enjoyed teasing people. Most of all he loved his wife and children.

Manny is survived by his wife Marife; his mother Ellie Limberg and his father Thomas Limberg of Peru; five sons Robert (Alejandra) Limberg, Emmanuel Limberg Jr., Michael (fiancée Kristen) Limberg, Isaiah Limberg, and Gabriel Limberg; nine grandchildren; two brothers Rey (Juliet) Limberg of Peru and Joel (Shawn) Limberg of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his father Rueben and his grandparents.

Memorials may be directed to his family for a fund that will be established at a later date. 

Pallbearers will be his sons and two nephews Jordan & Dakota Limberg.
