Elizabeth J. Cassidy, 88 of Oglesby, died at 1:00 AM August 11, 2016 in Heritage Health Care in Peru.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Jacob Valle officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services.
Mrs. Cassidy was born in Arlington on July 19, 1928 to Clint and Jeanette (Slazas) Cassidy. She worked at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in the accounting department until her retirement.
Mrs. Cassidy is survived by one daughter, Linda (Ron) Kreiser of Oglesby; three sisters, Loretta (Robert) Brown of Peru, Lorraine (Vic) Serri of Rockford and Mary Lou Whitaker of Mesa, AZ; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Eleanor Marzetta and one brother George Cassidy.
