Dorothy A. Jagg

Dorothy A. Jagg, 93, of Peru, passed away at Heartland Healthcare in Henry on March 20, 2017.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30 PM Saturday in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with Rev. Robert Gielow officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.  Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 12:30 PM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle handling arrangements.

Dorothy was born in La Salle on August 23, 1923 to George and Helen (Krueger) Hoffman.  She married Daniel J. LaBounty on August 11,1945 at St. Patrick’s Church in Arlington. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1957.  She then married John Jagg on January 16,1960 at St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1993. Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and Ladies of Charity.  She worked as a sales clerk at J.C. Penney for over 25 years. 

She is survived by her children, Daniel, Barbara (Jim) Gray, Susan Cappetto and John(Judy) Jagg.  Grandchildren, Brian Gray, Jennifer Dolihite, Gina Kramer, Amber Jagg and Nick Jagg; great grandchildren, Gianna, Klint, McKinley, Amelia, Rhett, Elliott, Oliver, McKenna, Taylor, Caleb and Sadie.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Michael Cappetto.

Pallbearerswill be her grandchildren.
