David Elon Helson, 62, of LaSalle passed away on May 23, 2016.
A memorial talk will be given by Brother Burdette Mills at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 916 Monks Ave in Peru on Saturday at 3:00 pm followed by a gathering to be announced after the talk. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
David owned his own floor care business in the Illinois Valley area for over 40 years.
He was born August 25, 1953 in Chicago, IL to John and Janet Helson. He married Loretta Boehm on July 26, 1975.
He was predeceased by his mother, Janet Helson. He is survived by his father John Helson of Peru, his sister Deanna Zanaglia of Peru, his wife Loretta (Boehm) Helson of LaSalle, his sons Cory Helson of Peru, Aaron Helson of LaSalle, Shaun (Kate) Helson of MN, and Matthew Helson of MN, and two grandsons Levi and Cooper. He was also survived by an aunt and uncle, and cousins from out of state.
