Darlene D. Burns, 92, of Peru died August 14, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare in Peru.
Private memorial service will be at a later date in Peru City Cemetery with Rev. Betty Delgado officiating. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Burns was born in La Salle on September 19, 1924 to Thomas R. and Bertha (Hack) Burns. She worked at Westclox, Turk’s Furniture, and WLPO.
Darlene is survived by one brother Wayne (Carol) Burns of Wickliffe, KY, one sister Shirley Bachard of Arizona, niece Sheri (Ron) Thompson of Ottawa, nephew Jim (Rose) Burns of Wickliffe, KY, and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Beverly Burns on August 25, 2016, parents, two brothers, and a sister.
