Condolences from Terry Hayes (Geneva Lightner) Family in Louisiana (cousins). I enjoyed visiting with Betty when we made trips back to Illinois over the years. She'd always made sure to come visit me even after my Dad had passed away. Betty had such an endearing personality.

Our everyday thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. We rejoice with you in the certain hope that Betty is enjoying Our Risen Lord's heavenly banquet. We also are saddened in the knowledge that we, as you, are now separate from Betty, however short -or long- that may be. May Our Lord strengthen and sustain you in the days ahead.

Ann,Rich and Jim, When I heard of Betty's passing it was like I just lost another Mother and a large chunk of my childhood. She was always so loving and nice to me when I was young , always supported me when I served in the Navy . And she also gave me help by her examples of how to raise my children ! I will truly miss her. She was your Mom and I am glad to have been able to count her among my friends!

Dear Ann & Jim
So sorry to hear about your beloved mom.
I know she is in a better place, all healthy once again.
I will miss her sense of humor, family history tidbits and her hospitality. She was always proud of you two kids and all your families , as well. Loved showing pictures of all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She also loved her garden, showing off her flowers. She will be missed for sure, she was a beautiful & loving lady. You are all in my prayers during this time. I will miss you Cousin Betty!
Love Your Cousin,
Andrea Winson

Jim and Ann: I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Every time that I came home to Illinois for a visit, I would stop by to see her and we would have a great time catching up. She was so proud of you both and loved her family and friends with a passion. Condolences and prayers to both of you and yours.

All of my memories of my aunt are happy and loving. She was always so enjoyable to be around. She would take us on fun little adventures from seeing what the goose statutes had to wear that day to finding treasures at the antique shop. Walks around her beautiful flowers! She was a gift and will certainly be missed. I love you Aunt Betty and know you are in a better place with a healthy body. I bet the garden you plant this year will be amazing please know I have always had a section in mine with your name on it! Featuring my Aunt Betty flowers.
