My sincerest condolences to all the Doyle family. Mrs. Doyle was a special woman & a blessing. Our Mom & Dad had the utmost respect for her. She reminded me a lot of our Mom. Tough when she needed to be but always supportive & ready to provide TLC when needed. Dad told me a story a few years after our Mom passed away. He told me more than once they had nothing to feed us and they would call Mrs. Doyle and tell her the situation. Nothing more needed to be said. She would put together a bag of groceries for us. I have lots of great stories growing up with the Doyle family…and some should not be published (hah!) but the story of her seeing that our family did not go hungry is one I will never forget. What a fine example of a true Christian. She and Mr. Doyle were second parents to me. I knew I could always count on them no matter what. One time when I was over at the Doyle’s eating lunch while taking a break from walking beans…Mrs. Doyle was walking back & forth from the kitchen as she put food on the table and was upset about something. Mr. Doyle told her that one day she and Audrey would be rewarded in Heaven. Her response was “oh bul_s*@t”!! Mr. Doyle smiled at me but didn't dare say anything. Well now she is in Heaven with our Mom and they are receiving their much deserved eternal reward. God Bless You All. Love, Dan

Joan, Tom, Brad and the rest of the Peterson/Doyle Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know how great of a mom/grandma she was to all of you. I am sorry I cannot be there to support, but know I am there in spirit and thinking of all of you through this difficult time. Love, Matt

To our Illinois Family, in this time of loss one of the greatest ways to heal is to think of the good times, funny incidents and loving exchanges when the grieving process tries to overwhelm you. Ann was a beautiful lady and I know she will be missed, but there will be a great reunion one of these days! Love to all.

I met your Mom years ago at Deb's wedding to Alan and marveled at her brood, her stamina and good humor. May her memory be a blessing to her many loved ones.

I can't count all the wonderful memories I have of the Doyles while living in Dimmick, and I will always cherish them, especially coming back to their house after swimming lessons at the Peru pool and eating a couple loaves of toast, messing up the kitchen while we were at it! There was always exploring to do on the farm and she didn't mind a few extra kids around. She was such a good friend to my mom! I don't know how she did it, but she raised a big, wonderful family. My sympathies to all my Doyle Dimmick neighbors. Your mother was a wonderful example of all those good, strong values which the matriarchs of our area shared -- loving, straightforward, and always family oriented; they could set you straight with few words.
One cannot think of spirit of Dimmick without thinking of your lovely mother.
